Past

They say monsters are made not born, and Chez is proof there is truth behind this saying. He was born human. His mother was nineteen years old when she had Chez. She had the entire world before her. She had been accepted into one of the country's most prestigious universities, but gave it all up to raise her son. It was a decision that caused her parents to disown her. They wanted her to give Chez up for adoption and return to college. They believed that giving up her chance at a world class education to be a mother was the most foolish thing she could do. She could have children later when she got her degree and establish herself firmly into a career, but Chez's mother refused to heed their advice.

Chez might have came into her life sooner than she had intentionally planned, but the idea of being a mother filled her with indescribable joy and she wasn't going to give up motherhood for anything. Chez's father did not have the same problem. He had establish himself firmly within a career long before Chez came into the world. In fact, he was happily married with children when he met Chez's mother. His father kept telling his mother that he was going to leave his wife for her, and even set both her and Chez up inside a nice little house. But, that would never come to pass. he came to visit them often at first, but as time passed on he came to see them less and less until he was pretty much stop coming around. Chez was old enough to be keenly aware of his father's absence.

He used to sit for hours staring out the window waiting for his father, and would often fall asleep in that position. It was watching the heartbreak upon Chez's face every time his father failed to come when he promised that sparked her decision to tell him to just stop bothering. It was one thing to break her heart. She could handle that pain, but she could not handle the pain of watching her son's heart break every time his father didn't come around when he promised. She told his father that unless he wanted to be completely and absolutely committed to being a father to Chez that he shouldn't be apart of his life. It wasn't surprising that he ceased coming around at all.

A year later his mother would meet the man whom would become her first husband. He appeared to everything she wanted in man, but more importantly he appeared to be everything she looked for in a father for her son. He took a great interest in Chez, and was more than willing to allow him to tag along with them on their dates. In fact, he insisted upon it. It was this fact that caused his mother to fall in love with him, and agree to marry him when he asked. Little did she know the reason he took such an interest in Chez was for more sinister reasons. However, he revealed himself to be nothing like he originally appeared. In short, he showed himself to be an abusive asshole, but his mother did not learn the full nature of the abuse he forced Chez to endure. However, the level of abuse that his mother watched her son endure was enough to spark her to decision to divorce her husband.

He did not like this decision and decided to remove Chez's mother from the picture. He would have succeeded if Chez hadn't come home early from a friend's house. He leaped to his mother's defense, grabbing a pair of scissor that happened to be laying upon the coffee table and proceeded to stab the man repeatedly into the back. He lost count of how many times he stabbed his step father and only stopped when his mother pulled him into a hug. They sat there for a few moments before calling the police. It didn't take long for the police to decided that his step father's death was an act of self-defense, and the level of violence associated with it had to do with the abuse that Chez had watched his mother endure and that he endured himself. The police suggested that his mother get Chez counseling, which she did.

However, the counseling didn't appear to work. He just got worse and worse until it was decided that he needed to be initialized. His mother did not want to take this course of action, but she was at a lost on how to help her son. So, she sign him into what was rumored to be the best mental hospital in the state of Louisiana. Little did she know that this place was a front for supernatural beings looking for pets and slaves. The hospital was good for those whom didn't catch the interest of one of those supernatural beings, but those that did it became a living hell. Chez caught the interest of a demon masquerading around as a psychologist---Chez's psychologist. He forced Chez to endure the same abuse that he had with his step father. He, also, fed Chez his blood.

Demon blood is very addicting to human. So, much so that if a human consumes enough demon blood that it will cause them excruciating pain and death if they stop drinking it. In the process, the human becomes bond to the demon whom blood they consumed. They will do anything that demon ask, and Chez's doctor hoped to bind Chez to him in that manner. However, sometimes--very rarely--consuming large amount of demonic blood changed someone on another level. It changed them into a demon. No one knows why this is. Genetics. Stubbornness. Whatever the reason some people whom drink large amount of demon blood becomes demons themselves instead of slaves. This what happened to Chez. He became a demon. His doctor was amused by this. He attempted to take the role of mentor for Chez, teaching him how to embrace his new found demonic powers and desires.

However, Chez wanted nothing to do with any plot he had. He didn't even want to admit that he was no longer human. He just wanted to return home, which he did after a few more weeks spent in that hospital. He returned to school a couple weeks after this and here he met his best friend Kenny. The two of them became inseparable. They did everything together, and they became like family. Chez learned that money did not buy happiness. Kenny was born into one of the most influential families within New Orleans, but no matter how hard he tried Kenny felt that he couldn't get his father to be as proud of him as he was of  his brother and sister. When Chez was fourteen Kenny's desire to make his father proud of him finally claimed Kenny's life. Chez was devastated by his death. He lost his best friend. No, he lost his brother. They might not have been related by blood, but that is how Chez regarded him.

Present

Shortly after Kenny's death, Chez's mother married his currant step father. Chez was weary of this man. He kept believing that he would turn out to be exactly like his previous step father once he made his mother his wife, but learned after his marriage to his mother that this wasn't the case. The man was exactly whom he pretended to be. More than that he became a better father to Chez than his own biological father ever was. Chez considers the man his father and the daughter he had from a previous relationship his sister. He and his sister are close in spite being from different social groups in school. He is very protective of her and will do anything for her.

His sister hangs out with the popular crowd at school while Chez hangs out with the bad crowd. In fact, many considers him to the be the bad boy of the school. He posses a devil may care attitude, and partakes in alcohol and drugs use even on school ground. There is a part of him that debates of just dropping out of school, but with just one year left he figures that he can just ride it out. He is uncertain what he wants to do once he graduates. Some part of him believes that he should just pack his bags and travel cross country. Another part of him wonders if he should try for a singing career. Before, his death Kenny and he talked about starting a band. However, a part of him feels that it is wrong to pursue this dream if Kenny can no longer live it.

He had several relationships over the years. More if you just count the people whom he fucked. However, there is only one that he can honestly say that he ever loved. She is a girl named Etoile. They been in an on and off again relationship together since he was sixteen. He loves her he just doesn't know how to be the man that she deserves. Some part of him is afraid that she will decided to give up on him while another part hopes that she does.
